What is Rhino Gear and Where Did We Come From?
To get a true understanding of what Rhino Gear is and why we chose this name we must first take a look at a few different facts.
- Why a Rhino?
- What sets us bikers apart from others in today's world?

Why a Rhino?
Many people think that we chose the name Rhino because our owner used to be known by the same name before many positive changes in his life. However, that is a person he has left behind and now serves a much higher purpose in life with a completely different focus. Sure, some of those characteristics are still there because that is how our creator designed him and wired him to stand out from the crowd. What is special about a Rhino that may apply to our company and what we offer? The word rhinoceros official means "nose horn", a Rhino can have up to 3" of thick lattice layered skin to protect them from the elements or things they may face on a daily basis, and they are known for their large size (often over 1 ton) that can be intimidating to other predators in the wild.
What Are We as Bikers?
Many look at us as out of the ordinary, "scary", misunderstood, and a natural "rebel" in today's society. So how do we relate to the horn a Rhino displays out in the open for all to see? We stand out from the crowd. A biker can be seen a mile away and are normally avoided by most walking down the street simply because of their rough and tough exterior. This similar the horn a Rhino displays which "warns" off other natural predators in the wild.
Us bikers need all the protection we can get as we brave the elements risking life and limb to sore like an eagle in a freedom that cannot begin to be explained to someone who has never experienced it. Our gear is the only thing we have to protect us and our bodies from the destructive impact of a crash or the dreaded view of the pavement coming at us a million miles an hour if we ever had to lay our bikes down. Have you ever seen the image of someone who has bit the dust not having any protection at all after sliding across the road in a lay down? Ewwww!!!!! Such a scary thought!! We wear leather, helmets, eye gear, and many other things in order to keep our ride as safe as possible if this scary situation should happen. Not to mention, we look cool doing it. It may not be a solid 3" of latticed layers of skin, but we need all the protection we can get if/when we ever needed it. Wouldn't you agree?
Let's take a look at us bikers in appearance and size. Most view bikers as large, burly, intimidating, and the natural definition of a "rebel or black sheep". We definitely stand out and we like it that way. Yes, we are different that the norm, but there are many things about us riders that many don't even take the time to get to know. We devote much of out time to serving others in charity, organize benefits for those hurting, offer our help at the drop of a hat, and we generally have an amazing heart for others. Kinda surprising huh? A heard of Rhinos is called a crash because they are so loud and gain attention wherever they go. Now, Imagine a large group of us bikers rolling down the road as we are standing for and supporting a specific cause or raising funds for a charity. Are we not loud, proud, want to be heard long before we are ever seen? This not only brings attention to what we are standing for, but it keeps us safe as it gets the attention of those around us.
Us here at Rhino Gear want to be able to offer products that any biker may want or need to help in the demanding lifestyle in which we live. We are always on the hunt for great items to reach our needs. This includes but is definitely not limited too; leather, helmets, gloves, glasses, jewelry, chains, patches, stickers, Christian motorcycle supplies, motorcycle accessories/luggage, self defense items, and much more. We want to strive to be able to offer all you need in this "out of the box" lifestyle. We lead a very demanding life and we need items that products that stand behind the demands when we need them. Many companies out there take advantage of our needs and gouge us when we must purchase what we want/need. However, we will do all we can to keep our products of high quality and a very affordable price. We use them too and we know how costly our lifestyle can be in the real world.
Where Did We Come From?
We are located in Northeastern Florida. This gives us a great location to be able to get your products to you quickly and when you need them while servicing the riding community.
The owner at Rhino Gear comes from a diverse background of poor choices, trials/tribulations, and a rough lifestyle. He has been in the riding world for many years and knows exactly what us bikers require to be who we are and to stay protected doing so. He has been in the business world for over 30 years and been a professional in every position he has held. Customer Service and meeting customer expectations is a huge focus in this experience. Major changes have been made in his life after Jesus helped him see a better way to live. He lives his life in our world, serves God in ministry, and helps others in anyway he can. He is also an active member in a motorcycle ministry devoted to us bikers and being there for us when we need it. He has became a Rhino For Christ and charges after the mission that God has him on to serve our Lord, assisting others, and giving everything he has in order to be obedient in this mission facing the ultimate adversary each and every day. This is one reason we intend to be able to offer a very wide selection of items specifically for those in christian motorcycle ministry. A portion of all our proceeds will also be used towards supporting ministry, donated to various charities, and given to organizations in need. It's all about giving back in any way we can!
